Will You Be Proud Of That When You Get To Heaven's Gate (Original) Part 2
Chance Alan
(Original) Part 2
If Part 1 was the question that stopped your heart — Part 2 is the answer that saves your soul.
“It all starts with a seed on the ground…”
Part 2 picks up where Part 1 left you standing at the Gate. Same seed. Same path paved with good intentions. Same road lined with right and wrong. But this time, Chance ain’t wondering — he’s deciding. “We make our own dedications decisions to earn the key / I'm tryin' to keep my heart aligned with the one who gave me life / Who restore's my soul my life's passion…” This is the deeper testimony. The walk after the question. Part 1 asked “Will you be proud of that?” — Part 2 says “I’m not going fishin’ for that hate.” “But the world keeps whisperin' lies and I'm wonderin' if I'll take the bait tonight / I'm not going fishin' for that hate / Rebuking hate…” This is Chance choosing the light over the lie. Choosing well done over “I never knew you.” “I want to hear well done not I never knew of you / 'Cause when we stand before your throne / We want to be proud too…” And then the redemption comes full circle: “Anytime anywhere / We've got your story to tell of trials and of grace / The moments we got lost but you found us in the darkest of places / You led us to the light and gave us a brand new name / I speak Jesus in the holy way / Now were walkin' with you in the valley through the flames…” Part 1 was conviction. Part 2 is conversion. Same powerful close, but now it hits different — because you’ve made the choice: “Will you be proud of that / When you get to Heaven's gate / When the angels look at the life we have lived / Will they say it's worth the wait / I want to hear well done faithful servant / not How come I've never known of you / 'Cause when we stand before your throne / We want you, to be proud, of us all too…” “True peace awaits. True stories gates.” If Part 1 was the mirror — Part 2 is the open door.
