"Strait From Jenifer Lyn" by Chance Alan is a tribute song/album project honoring George Strait. The twist: Chance Alan released multiple versions of the track, each framed as a "tribute to George Strait" in the style of other country artists. There are versions labeled: Ella Langley tribute to George Strait Lainey Wilson tribute to George Strait Miranda Lambert tribute to George Strait Eric Church tribute to George Strait Chance Alan tribute to George Strait It's part of the album Strait From The HEART Texas Flood Relief, released in 2025. Writer/composer is Alan Leslie Poulos. Theme: It's a George Strait-style story song built around that classic “The Chair” bar-meeting moment. The title drops "Jenifer Lyn" as the woman’s name, flipping Strait’s line where he never actually says his name. Each version keeps the Strait honky-tonk vibe, but channels the vocal style/phrasing of the artist in the title: Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church. "THE KING OF COUNTRY Nomination for Kennedy Center Honors" song is a musical nomination letter/celebration of George Strait's career and legacy as he received one of the most prestigious awards in American performing arts.
